Ibanez AM-70 Sunburst, original and in very good condition

These guitars are handmade in Japan and come from what they call the better years of Ibanez.

This guitar has been tuned well by a guitar maker from Haarlem. Fingerboard has been restored, polished and guitar has been tuned with a strobetuner. Volume potentiometers replaced by better Alps potentiometers.

The AM line by Ibanez was the first step to the demand of smaller semi-hollowbody with the character of the famous ES-model. Scofield, Ford and many other guitarists have been inspired by the thick tone of these instruments. The AM-70 is the big brother of the better known AM-50 guitars. A maple body (nice Birdseye) with a still very beautiful Indian rosewood fingerboard. The humbuckers sound very full, with a lot of middle, and a sparkling high. The neck stand has all it takes to play thick jazz and blues and the bridge is easy to handle. Very universal guitar. From private collection.

There is a small dent at the input jack. Otherwise the guitar is in excellent condition. Including old case. What you see is what you get, an insanely beautiful Ibanez Am-70. Stable and hard to find instrument.
