A beautiful early Axa strip, one of the first 500, by Enrique Badía Romero. Romero made around 2250-2300 strips, the first 2234 of which were published in the English newspaper “The Sun”. Romero had already finished this strip, but it did not appear in the Sun. The stories were published in many other countries, including the Netherlands, Germany, the United States and the Scandinavian countries. And, of course, Spain.
Axa often became topless “by accident”. Strips showing Axa topless are obviously much more sought-after than “dressed” Axa strips.
This is a strip with a very nice topless Axa in panel 2, and in addition, this is a 2-panel strip (nearly all comics have 3 panels).
In the Netherlands, this strip was published in the story “Vrijheid!”.
The strip is approx. 48 x 15 cm and was made on sturdy drawing cardboard. Will be packed in hardboard and sent by registered post.
