Le Rallic made his debut at the newspaper “Le Rire”, and quickly distinguished himself with illustrations in numerous other satirical newspapers. He was a regular presence at the gatherings of “Le Salon des humoristes”, where his knack for humour could hardly be ignored.
He subsequently began his career as a cartoonist, becoming one of the pioneers of French comics. While continuing his work as an illustrator for a large number of periodicals for young people, he also worked with the major publishers of the period in France: Fayard, Offenstadt, Fleurus, Montsouris… and Gordinne in Belgium.
