Silver verge painted dial open pace pocket watch
You are bidding on a silver verge open face pocket watch with a beautiful painted dial, made in France in 1810. The pocket watch is complete with key and silver chain.
Dial: The white enamel dial has black handwritten Arabic numerals with black outer minute divisions. The dial has nice blued hands. The dial is protected by a bulls-eye glass in great condition. All around the dial is a beautifully handpainted scenery.
Movement: The verge escapement movement is pierced and has a lovely engraved bridge cock. The movement has a silver disc regulator and has round cylinder shaped baluster pillars. The watch has just been serviced by a watchmaker so in excellent working condition; however, we cannot guarantee accuracy for an antique pocket watch.
Case: This verge pocket watch comes in a nice silver case with a smooth finish. The inner side of the case is numbered: 4343. All the hinges clasp and the buttons are strong with case closing firmly.
