Rare sepia heliogravure photography by Lehnert and Landrock making the portrait of a nude Berber girl posing with an amphora.
Lehnert and Landrock’s nudes are a reference in Oriental erotic photography from the late 19th century and are superb, very sought after and deserve to be framed.
In vey good condition, signed in the negative in the bottom right-hand corner.
Rudolf Lehnert (1878-1948) and Ernst Landrock (1878 - 1966), were two photographers who became partners in order to take over the studio of photographer J. Andre Garrigues, from 1904 to 1914 in Tunis (Tunisia). Their work is one of the most influential Tunisian work from the late 19th and early 20th century.
