Porsche Poster - Porsche 911 Carrera RS "Deutschlands Schnellster Seriesportwagen"
Reprinted under license of the Porsche AG.
Model year 1973 introduced the Carrera RS (Renn-Sport) with a 2.7 litre engine and 210 HP. It was meant for racing but could also be used on the streets. For the RS, a lot of effort was made to reduce the weight. The RS is clearly recognisable from his typical spoiler on the back of the car, a so-called “ducktail”. The name Carrera was used by Porsche for the first time in 1955, to commemorate a class victory in the Carrera Panamericana 1953. Carrera is Spanish for "race".
