This vintage, approximately 1960s/1970s, 800 silver cutlery set in the Milano pattern was made for Buccellati by Fabbrica Argenteria Clementi dì Giovanni Mantel. The silverware authentication mark displays the silver maker was originally a supplementary of a German company called Wilkens. The company passed on to Michelangelo Clementi, and then Giovanni Mantel who revived the company after World War II. Registering in 1968 (see photo of hallmark). The silverworks company did work for Buccellati, ultimately being acquired by Buccellati in the 1980s. (The authentication mark changed to include the name Buccellati in the hallmark after the company was acquired by Buccellati.)
