Box containing twelve placeholders in Italian silver 800/1000, shaped as musical instruments, all different from each other. All items bear silver title and manufacturer’s hallmark. Hallmarks are not always clearly legible, but they would suggest the manufacturer is Broggi of Milan, even though I am not 100% sure. The instruments have been entirely handcrafted, very original workmanship and raw look, as if they were made of lead. Each placeholder rests on a marble base of mm. 26x26x11. The underside is protected by a felt pad. The bases are in Onyx marble with a layer of mm. 3 of blue sodalite marble, on top. All perfect, no chipping. Instruments height ranges from mm. 35 to mm. 75. A small silver spiral on the side serves to hold the card with the name of the host. The box is very sturdy and covered with blue paper. The interior is lined with silk-like white fabric and is made to fit perfectly every singe piece. Case: cm. 24x24x5. Objects weight only 327 g.
