A pair of French art deco lamps in nickel plated bronze, around 1925-1930, holding beautiful shades in salmon coloured frosted moulded-pressed glass by Muller freres the famous glass factory from Luneville France. This model shade is represented in the old Muller catalog under #5915A"tulipe modèle aux rideaux". (The catalog is non part of this sale). This model shade is always signed but the signature is almost never completely visible, it was placed very close to the upper hole of the shade and often it was partly removed when they grinded the shades top at the factory. The shades were signed Muller freres Luneville. Normaly only parts of the word Luneville remained visible. See last picture.
The height of the lamps is 18 cm and they have a diameter of 13,5 cm. The pair is in very good condition. Some very small chips on the inside of the rim. Invisible with the shades placed on the bases. The bronze mounts have been renickeled and the lamps are rewired with new twisted rayon covered cord, new plugs and switches.
Right now they have their old B22 bayonet sockets. That's useless since good quality electircal bulbs for them are almost impossible to find. For Eurpean countries I will place E14 sockets. For the USA or Japan I will place Umerican candelabra base ones and 2-prong plugs.
