HENRI FOURNET & ANDRÉ DELATTE
A wonderful very rare French art deco lamp in nickel plated wrought iron. Around 1930. The base made by Le fer forgé H.F. (Henri Fournet) holds a precious acid engraved shade by André Delatte signed A.Delatte Nancy. Fournet was the director of LeferforgeHF in Lyon France and had a huge shop (wholesale) in iron and bronze household articles alongside a line of high quality wrought iron lamps and chandeliers. The Fournet catalog picture is no part of this auction. André Delatte was the former banker of Muller freres who got interested in glass ware and after a study in chemistry started his own glass manufactory.
The lamp has a height of 31.3 cm. The beautiful forged iron base has its original nickel plating. It shows it's 90 years old but is in good condition for its age (see pictures). The lamp is rewired with new cloth covered twisted cord and has a european E14 socket. A bulb will be added. For the US or Japan I will place an american candelabra base socket and 2-prong plug.
Safe packaging guaranteed : As restorer of French art Deco lighting I sell my lamps online for a fraction of the prices art deco specialized antique shops sell for. For over 20 years I ship my parcels worldwide with the precious items well protected and fully insured.
