Asger Jorn was born as Asger Oluf Jørgensen on 3rd March, 1914 in Vejrum. He was a painter, sculptor, ceramist, graphic artist, theorist and philosopher. Jorn considered himself a representative of a great Northern, abstract-inclined tradition in painting. He was a great admirer of the Norwegian Edvard Munch and the German expressionist Emil Nolde. John is best known as a leading member and founder of the COBRA movement. COBRA is founded in 1948, the year that Jorn has his first solo exposition. COBRA consisted of expressionist artists who, with their free expression and childlike shapes, opposed the art views of the art academies. And if there ever was a funny, stubborn and very naughty girl with blonde tails, then it is Bodil (1961). Will be sent in sturdy tube and sent by registered mail with Track & Trace.
