Walter Lindner (1936 – 2007) graduated from the State Academy of Fine Art and Berlin University of Arts in the1950s. Then Lindner perfects his technique, monotype. Approved one-off prints are then finished, often exuberant, with pen and ink and sometimes by adding gold leaf. Lindner’s work was exhibited every year at the Frankfurt Art Fair – Exhibitions of his work in the Berlin region were also successful in the 1970s and 1980s, but Lindner was an introverted man and did not tend to attract much attention to himself.
