Ulysee Nardin was founded in 1846 by Ulysse Nardin in Le Locle, Switzerland. Ulysse Nardin is known as one of the founders of the Swiss marine chronometre industry, next to Louis JeanRichard-dit-Bressel and Henri Grandjean. Chronometre watches, with their own manufacture movements, are one of the most sought-after types of collector's watches.
