Beautiful and RARE brooch made by Louis Rousselet Probably made in the 1940s
The brooch has been assembled by hand using wire, and hand-finished with artisan craftsmanship. The inserts shown are made from glass. Stunning baroque-style pearls, also in glass, also handcrafted.
For those who aren't connoisseurs, I would like to point out that the pieces made by Louis Rousselet were not branded, but were accompanied by a paper label with his name. Only some, like this brooch, were engraved on the back with 'Made in France' as well as being accompanied with a label from the creator.
Of course, it is impossible to find the original labels today. Authentic pieces are recognised based on the technique and materials used.
This is UNDOUBTEDLY a Louis Rousselet piece, as both this brooch and the matching earrings are often found published in vintage jewellery books and also on the Internet!
The brooch has been extremely well-preserved. There are no cracks on the pearls and it is in excellent condition.
It is a wonderful piece that cannot escape those who love beautiful and rare things, but above all, authentic VINTAGE items!
