Teodolite by Cooke, Troughton & Simms, a British instrument company founded in York in 1922 by the business combination of T. Cooke & Sons and Troughton & Simms. The theodolite is a precision optical instrument for measuring angles between horizontal and vertical visible points. It has been traditionally used for soil detection, but it is also widely used for the construction of buildings and facilities, and in some specialized applications such as meteorology and rocket launch.
It consists of a mobile telescope mounted so that it can rotate around the horizontal and vertical axes and provide angular readings (source: Wikipedia).
Telescope size: 22 cm, with lens hood 28 cm. Height with horizontal telescope: 26 cm, width 23 cm. Weight 7.7 kg.
