This chest belonged to Catharina/Catrina Knipels.
She was born circa 1700-1718 and died in 1766 in Eygelshoven.
Next to Geleen on the border with Germany.
She perhaps married in 1732 to Gerardus Luchtmans.
She had 7 children.
The first in 1739.
The lock and the hinges are original.
The chest has a beautiful patina.
Inside still has a document tray and a small board to save small things.
The ball feet fit well, it's a bit of an elegant chest.
