Rare collection of 6 netsuke depicting Noh theatre masks
All the faces are very expressive, with nasty faces, frowns and funny expressions.
Some have shibayama inlays in mother of pearl and horn.
Some are signed or initialled.
The measurements indicated are of the largest mask.
A Japanese item from the Meiji period.
The item was produced prior to 1947, and is therefore in compliance with European Union regulations regarding the sale of ivory.
