The twelft labour of Hercules is to kidnapp Cerberus.
When he succeeded, he brought Cerberus back to Hades.
Etched in Italy by Antonio Tempesta, edited in Antwerp 1606.
Antonio Tempesta (1555 – 5 August 1630) was an Italian painter and engraver.
He was a connection between the Baroque Rome and the art of Antwerp.
As pupil of Santi di Tito and the Flemish painter Joannes Stradanus, he was also known for his frescos, etchings and he worked also as court painter to Alessandro Farnese.
