Very good condition. Dimensions with frame 73 x 63 cm. Without frame 50 x 40 cm. Maurice Guillaume Wiliquet was a Belgian artist. He is listed in the renowned art books Bas II and Piron. He was a figurative artist that mostly did plein-air painting art. Williquet was also a portrait painter. During WWII, a number of American soldiers asked him to make a portrait of themselves or after a picture to paint a portrait of their mother, wife or children. Every now and then, a soldier asked for the painting to be sent to the USA. That is why you can still find quite a few paintings by Wiliquet in the USA.
