A highly unique and special, majestic lion made of earthenware. A design by the Swedish ceramist and designer Lisa Larson. This lion has a friendly expression on its face. The sculpture is decorated by hand in various earthly colours, which gives it a unique hint. The lion was designed in 1964 as part of the African series for manufacturer Gustavsberg. This series consists of six animal figures: a donkey, an elephant, a lion in three different sizes and a tiger. Marked on the underside with the original sticker. Measurements: 7 x 6 cm and 6 cm high. Background information: Lisa Larson (1931) is a Swedish ceramist and designer. She is mainly known for her sculptures Small Zoo (1955), ABC-girls (1958), Africa (1964) and Children of the World (1974–75). The photos are part of the description.
