Talla - Madera, Metal - Paksi vogelmasker - Bali, Indonesia
mediados del siglo XX - Vintage - usado con señales de desgaste

A rarely offered old, Paksi bird mask from the 40s of the last century. This mask was left at a funeral ceremony in Singaradja and taken by the son, during the repatriation of a Dutch/Indian family to the Netherlands in 1946. See the pictures that display the dazzling character of this mask.

Paksi refers to "birds" and represents a kind of pain, according to the VISNU Purana, " the wise man gets the three types of worldly pain (inseparable-occasional-superhuman) or a mental and physical condition and as such has investigated true wisdom and has obtained a detachment of human objects, the Final Solution ".
