14 albumin prints of the Suez Canal and Port Said. The Sueze Canal was opened in 1869. The photos offer images of the canal itself, the estuary in the Mediterranean Sea, the dredging work and various tall-ships. All photos signed Zangaki. The photos have been printed on paper.
Condition: in good condition. A single tear in the paper, repaired, outside the image. One photo is missing a small corner.
Georgos and Constantinos Zangaki were probably Greek photographers who worked from 1860 to 1890 and lived in Port Said. They made photos and photo series for travellers and tourists.
