A beautiful limited edition art deco bowl made from polished pewter from the Swedish goldsmiths- GAB (GuldsmedAktieBolaget), 1933. The fluted bowl is mounted on 4 decorated feet on a round plynth. There is a date inscription for 3/9/ 1933 with script initials on the side of the bowl. With full description marks- GAB TENN- Makers Svenska Vara- Made in Sweden Crowned head- Stockholm Date letters G8- 1933 69/23- Number 23 from a limited edition of 69 examples. Height- 15cm Top of bowl width- 23cm Bottom of plynth width- 12.80cm This is an excellent example of Swedish craftsmanship from the art deco period, and is of the highest quality. There are a couple of very minor scratch marks as would be expected of a soft metal like pewter, but overall the bowl is in fantastic condition.
