A lovely bronze pheasant hen with a gilded and mordoré patina, on a base decorated with flowers and foliage.
The sculpture is signed Moigniez. Jules Moigniez is a French animal sculptor.
His first exhibition was at the 1855 Universal Exhibition and he received an honourable mention at the 1859 Salon. He was present at the Universal Exhibition of 1878.
His works are mainly inspired by hunting (dogs, game...)
