German watch manufacture
In 1887, Wilhelm Raisch and Phillipp Wössner founded the Raisch & Wössner KG in Pforzheim. The company started out devoting itself to the manufacture of jewellery, but later added the manufacture of pocket watch and wristwatch casings.
In 1922 the casing production was rounded out with the manufacture of watches. The first editions were equipped with Swiss movements.
Beautiful Raisch & Wösser savonette pocket watch and heavy chain in solid yellow gold - 14 kt (0.585) R&W company hallmark on the front and back.
Front lid - spring lid in good condition - smooth finish.
White enamel dial. In very good condition. Dial with Arabic numerals and blued steel hands - connected stripe minute scale. Small recessed seconds at the six.
Smooth back lid - in good condition.
Inner lid made of metal with signs of wear.
Hallmarked 56 14K 0,585 in the front and back lid as well as further hallmarks and the company hallmark Raisch & Wösser.
Fine gold-plated 3/4 platine movement - anchor escapement - bolted middle chaton as well as two further chatons.
Movement in working order.
Fine massive gold necklace with 585 hallmark - length of 31.5 cm
Watch diameter without pedant 50 mm. With pedant 68 mm Total weight with chain 127 g.
A watch with classic appearance in good general condition.
