The icon represents the image of "Risen Christ descending to Hell", surrounded by a host of Saints, The characters are represented with golden reflections and, in particular, the risen Christ is represented in the atmosphere of golden and luminescent shades, marked by red lines, probably discolored by gold.
The Sacred Scene is set on a dark background, so that the gold highlights of the halo and the details of the dresses were more evident, as in the Byzantine Epoch mosaics.
The hierarchy and the static setting of all images are typical of the Russian School of the 19th.
There are some leaks and color revelations due to the time.
