Embossed burgonet parade helmet. Probably a 19e Century electrotype copie of a 15e century parade helmet. These copies where popular in the Victorian period and were made by electroforming, a technology first developed in the 1840s that produced an extremely precise copy of an original by running an electrical charge through a solution to deposit metal into a mold piece shell.
The original helmets are hardly ever found an cost a fortune.
Made of silver plated? copper.
Weight 2 kg. I have added many photos so that you get a good impression of the object.
