Descripción
Trilobite - Esqueleto articulado - Guangxiaspis guangxiensis
Cambrian - China

Rare Guangxiaspis guangxiensis Zhou, 1977, a Corynexochida trilobite from the Cambrian Guole Township, Jingxi City, Guangxi Prov., China (Sandu formation).

Rare complete specimen.

The specimen shows fascinating taphonomic features; perfect Cephalon with large Genal spines (2.5 cm), Pygidial spines, and Hypostome.
Please note that the last part of the Torax and the Pygidium are partially disarticulated from the thorax--the result of post-depositional shifting of the trilobite body.

With its 3.2 cm this one is quite large for the species.
Not restored.
Matrix is 9 x 8 x 2.5 (thick) cm.

Rare opportunity to have in collection a Late Furongian complete specimen.
