Cangrejo - Esqueleto articulado - Complete Pulalius vulgaris

Among the world’s best-preserved crab fossils are those coming from western Washington state.
The crabs are found in concretions along the sides of creeks and beds of local streams.
This is and Amazing example of a big complete (8 Legs) Pulalius vulgaris from Eocene of Porter, Washington.

This specimen is outstanding: complete, big and with amazing details!
Ten of ten appendages have been preserved, eight legs plus both claws( one claw is hidden down the body).

It is very hard to find a eight legs Pulalius, they always miss one or two legs.

Note the shiny dark brown color of the carapace and legs. It is fully inflated, big, well-centered and 3D.

Carapace is 4,5 cm!!
Specimen is 11,3 cm from leg to leg.
Concretion is 12 cm.

Some Restorarions on left Claw (movable finger), Carpus of the right claw and on the second leg on the left side( carpus and propodus).
Painstaking work and long hours are required to prepare one as seen here.
