The Venus Callipyge, also known as the Aphrodite Kallipygos (Greek: Aφροδίτη Καλλίπυγος), or the Callipygian Venus, meaning literally "Venus (or Aphrodite) of the beautiful buttocks", is an ancient Roman marble statue, probably copy of an older Greek original. It shows a partially draped woman, lifting her light peplos to expose her hips and buttocks, and looks up and down over her shoulder.
Santini made a copy of this. It is moulded material, finished by hand and refined.
Height: 27 cm.
In excellent condition, as new.
The statue will be well packaged and shipped via insured mail.
