Jan Strube, born in 1892 in Amsterdam and died in Lies in 1985, was a Dutch painter and lithographer. After technical school, where he was taught to be a house painter, Strube attended the Quellinusschool; a painter and drawing school that was the precursor of the current Rietveld academy. He was best known for his many lithographs depicting Brabant farm life. But Breda also regularly made an appearance in his works.
