3 Early, Repoussed High-Grade Silver Bowls. Burma. circa 1860

This 3 antique Burmese silver temple offering bowls are of circular rounded form.

The surface of the bowls is embellished with fine frames of embossed and chased repoussé decoration depicting a series of Burmese figures.

The underside of 2 bowls with engraved Burmese / Myanmar inscription.

There are no silver hallmarks as expected with this type of antique Asian silverware, but tested as solid silver.

The shape of the bowls is based on alms or begging bowls used by Burmese monks.

Condition is good.

Bowl 1: 8.7 cm high and diameter 12.3 cm.
Bowl 2: 5.2 cm high and diameter 7.7 cm.
Bowl 3: 4.4 high and diameter 6.6 cm.

Carefully packed, insured and signed for.
