Jan Hoedemakers (1949) - Stilleven met Romeins glas- en aardewerk

Jan Hoedemakers (1949) is a man from Brabant in heart and soul. He followed a long training with several well-known Dutch painters. Hoedemakers mostly painted with oil on panel. For his works he makes use of old painting techniques.
He is interested in making realistic still lifes in which much attention is paid to the composition, design and lighting of the (old) objects. These are always carefully composed with alternating light and dark surfaces. He has an eye for detail.
His works have been successfully exhibited at various galleries and Kunstdagen in the Netherlands. Also internationally, there is a lot of interest in his work. Meanwhile, his work was sold in Germany, France, Portugal and Spain.
