Refined and rare collection sculpture in polychrome bronze and ivory, entitled ‘Pyjiamas’ and depicting an elegant woman in soft dress, similar to a dressing gown typical of the early 1900s.
In this sculpture Giorgio Gory proves to be an innovator, as he’s the first to represent a young woman in this type of clothing. A representation that will later be copied by other distinguished sculptors of the time, including Chiparus.
The ivory shows some natural veining, consistent with its age and visible in pictures.
