A Coast Guard Commendation Medal is offered in excellent condition including ribbon bar.
The Coast Guard Commendation Medals (CGCM) is a mid-level award awarded to members of the armed forces who have distinguished themselves by heroism or deserving service while serving with the U.S. Coast Guard. The prize was first created in 1947 and was originally published only as a ribbon.
Additional prizes of the medal are displayed with a gold star on the ribbon. When the medal is offered for actions of valour, a bronze "V" device is authorized.
A very nice addition for anyone who doesn't have this medal in his collection yet.
