Superb breakfast/dessert set, in very fine porcelain from Limoges by the manufacturer Chabrol & Poirier, circa 1917.
Entirely hand-made, the mere porcelain in relief is a technical and artistic feat. The refined flower patterns, their shades from dark to light fuchsia pink make it a mythical model of the Art Deco period.
Laureates at the International decorative Arts exhibition in 1925 and Paris Colonial exhibition in 1931.
The set includes:
A large presentation plate of 29 cm in diameter.
12 pastry plates of 18.8 cm in diameter.
A milk jug with lid, height of 15 cm (button glued back together).
6 tea cups of 5.5 cm in height, diameter of 7.2 cm.
6 saucers of 14.3 cm in diameter.
8 coffee cups, height of 6.6 cm, diameter of 5.6 cm.
6 saucers of 12.9 cm in diameter.
Excellent overall condition except for the flaws already mentioned, with very minor signs of age and usual wear marks, no cracks or chips (see condition and flaws on the detailed photos).
Very careful and secure shipment with suitable material, tracked and with signature upon delivery.
