You are bidding on selected inclusions from one of the largest collections in Germany, which consists of amber from all over the world (Baltics, Dominican Republic, Mexico and Burma), and I am offering them for auction for reasons of age.
Authenticity, quality and rarity are guaranteed, partly suitable for museums, which is an estimated percentage of less than 0.1% of all finds, for example. As it is the case with this specimen!
Burmit is the name of a type of amber found in an Eocene deposit (about 100 million years old) in Myanmar, from a time, when DINOSAURS
inhabited the planet!
Burmit is considered the kind of Amber with the most inclusions and there are more kinds known of it than from all other deposits combined.
It was o n l y at that time, that various flora objects like blossoms, LEAVES, moss and ferns developed!
In this honey-coloured cabochon (2.4 x 1.6 cm), numerous jagged
leaves on branches are clearly visible, they fill out the
stone completely! There is a mosquito with spread-out wings on the edge.
A special treat for those who appreciate the aesthetics of plants!
3 multilayer shots with approx. 25 stacked individual photos each are attached.
