Chinese silver necklace depicting a boy riding a qilin, an important fertility symbol in China. Chinese women who had a wish to getpregnant would wear this necklace. There are 6 small bells on the necklace. Their sound would keep away evil spirits.
The boy on qilin is finely embossed and engraved. It is 7,5 x 7 cm (excluding the chains with bells). Unfortunately it has a repair; at the back some solder can be seen. The chain of the necklace is 72 cm. long. Silver 800+ (acid tested).
