Born in Antwerp on 31 October 1952. Studies: from 1970 - 1975 royal academy for fine arts Antwerp. Later also received an education regarding the 17th century techniques of the renowned painter Jan Hendrik Eversen. After his studies at the royal academy of fine arts in Antwerp, Jef Diels set himself the goal of revealing the secret of the old masters of the Flemish and 17th century Dutch school. For more than 15 years, he has been studying this technique, which shows in his work. Exhibited at numerous exhibitions and work is included in various collection such as ING, Drents Museum in Assen, Belgian Embassy Morocco (Rabat) etc. Publications include: Man of all seasons, The art of living, Actief wonen, Living Engelse stijl, Atelier, Palet, Tableau, Gazet Van Antwerpen, Rich Style (Russia).
