It concerned the Antwerp branch of the Noordbrabantsche Stoom-Peekoffie fabriek Gebr. De Beukelaar, which was founded in 1887 by brothers Bernard, Piet, Sjef, Stan and Frans de Beukelaar in Ossendrecht, the Netherlands. Well known is the portrait of their mother, the widow Martina de Beukelaar-Musters, who graced the packaging and publicity of Cichorei de Beukelaar.
