Hanukkah is a Jewish feast, also known as the Festival of Lights or the Feast of Dedication. The feast lasts for eight days and it commemorates the ‘Hanukkah miracle’ that occurred in the Temple of Jerusalem in 164 B.C.
The first day of the feast starts after sunset on the 24th day of the Jewish month.
The Hanukkiah, the special candelabrum for Hanukkah can light 8+1 flames that burn on oil.
Every day one lights up the extra ("ninth") flame, the shamash that serves to ignite the other lights, each day until all the flames are burning on the 8th day.
The shamash is positioned separately in this version, which is very unique.
Will be carefully packaged and shipped by insured mail.
