U-Boat clock. Kieninger & Obergfell. North Atlantic fleet dimensions: Height: 10 cm, Porthole diameter: 17cm Rear diameter: 20 cm
Weight: 2,664 g
This clock has been completely revised and restored by a watchmaker from Aubel (Belgium) who repairs in his own workshop.
The original photos, without blurring the cross are of course available.
This piece belonged to my great uncle, a member of the secret army (A.S.) in the Spa region (Liège province) in Belgium and he crossed the Remagen Bridge with the allies to deliver the Buchenwald camp in Germany.
He got several medals and brought back some objects (luger pistol, American knife and... this clock).
My great uncle (who had been dead for several years) was a well-known character in Spa; a teacher, then a Catholic school principal.
