This kind of decoration, born in the 1930s and originally limited to the industrial ceramic items produced by the Galvani company of Pordenone, was really successful. The long-time Galvani CEO was always looking for new decorative motifs to be screen printed or aerographed on ceramic items, and it was for this creative search that the company got its fame.
This style and technique spread to the master glass makers of Murano (Venice). The glass blowing technique mixed with the silk screen printing/aerograph painting techniques gave birth to one-of-a-kind and unique pieces (unlike ceramics, which had to be produced on a industrial large scale).
