The weekly football magazine 1-0 came on the market in 1970 and existed only for a very short period (over 2 years). In those two years two picture albums were released by them, of which in this lot the first and rarest album is offered.
To complete the album each week 16 players had to be cut out of the magazine and glued into this album. Due to this complicated method of collecting, the small circulation of the weekly and the fact that the collection took almost a year, relatively few of these albums ended up on the market.
This album is complete and contains 550(!) pictures. In addition to the players of the dutch Eredivisie clubs that were in place at the time (of which only 15 different pictures have been issued from both NEC and FC Utrecht), there are also 16 player pictures of the following 16 European clubs:
Borussia Mönchen Gladbach
Of each of these clubs 16 images of players are stuck. Except for CSKA Sofia, of which only 13 player pictures were issued. There are also 8 pictures of Carl Zeiss Jena, for which there was no place in the album. As a bonus, these 8 plates are added loose.
The album is still in good condition and still looks very nice both on the inside and on the outside. In the designated spot, all the results of the league in the Eredivisie and 1st and 2nd division are neatly filled in. On the middle page you can still see some brown specks of removed tape. For a good impression, pictures have been added of all the pages.
This album should not be missing from the collector's collection of old and special football picture albums!!
