A “Savonarola” chair. This kind of chairs was named after Girolamo Savonarola, an Italian Dominican friar and preacher active in Renaissance Florence. The chair "Savonarola" is an original model made with 6 narrowly fitted wooden slats, curved, crossed and inserted on bottom into two feet and on top into two armrests with lion’s head ends. The backrest is formed by a flat shaped panel, linked to the armrests, and decorated with mixed carvings.
The chair is foldable: suffice to remove the backrest. The ends of both armrests are decorated with lion’s heads.
Dimensions: height 84 to 87 cm; width 59 cm; depth 50 cm; base 43 x 45 cm.
The chair will be shipped folded.
