Late revelation of these last decades, tribal art from Himalaya seduces more and more collectors because of its freshness, spontaneity, its rustic technicality, and the archaic strength of its expression.
The tools used to craft these objects are rudimentary (knife, adze), the latter mark the pieces with an impression of strength and rusticity which perfectly combines with the patinas (dry or oily, shiny or crusty) enriching these sculptures.
This art is marked by a very imaginative individualism, these pieces are often unique and original. These pieces, which are never signed, reveal to the observer qualities of fantasy, but also of mastery and even sometimes exploits of ingenuity regarding the technicality.
All these pieces are unique and are often rooted in religion and tradition. The latter reflect the culture and environment from which these originate, but also reveal the personality, or even the vision of their creator, because in each object there is a soul hiding, a message taking refuge.
