The Frenchman Simon Tissot-Dupont (born in Savoy in 1847) founded a transport company which was destroyed by a fire in 1872. In the same year he bought a studio that made leather briefcases for diplomats and business folks. In 1884, Dupont became the supplier of one of the world's largest stores - Les Grands Magasins du Louvre - while retaining its private clientele.
"Make it exceptional. Make it exclusive. Make it unique."
Simon Tissot Dupont understood the value of tailor-made beauty products. The suitcases he produced were made of fine leather and they were personalised in every possible way; from the choice of materials to custom-made family crests or monograms. They became cherished travel companions for the European elite, each product had its own personality.
S.T. Dupont maintains the founder's philosophy today by combining skills with leading artists and crafts people to create selected Haute Création items. These exclusive collections testify to the competence and inspiration of partners and create an archive of truly unique beauty products.
