‘The northern lights set in the rock’, so the labradorite is poetically described in Inuit legends.
This wonderful stone is appreciated for its broad spectrum of cool colours ranging from peacock blue to dark grey, to violet and blue-green. It is especially admired for its labradorescence, that is the hypnotic iridescence created by the refraction of light crossing the mineral, an effect that recalls the northern lights.
Its bright and vibrant tones, will give a touch of intense but refined colour to any environment it will be placed in.
