Agrati Como 50 cc. Year: 1963. Chassis xx35 Moped: Agrati IGM 2351OM. Non-original red colour. Short history: In late 1961, the Agrati proposed the alternative of the high-wheeled version, driven by the success of the Capri scooter. Halfway between a scooter and a moped, the Como is a refined and elegant vehicle that would carve out an interesting segment of the market for itself. 1st series. There are two productions, the first can be recognised for the rack on the rear mudguard. 2nd series, from 25000 chassis and 20001 engine. Later replaced by a comfortable top box; new Minarelli engine; with a hole on the right side of the bodywork for easier access to the idle regulator. Built under licence. It was built under licence by Finnish Helkama of Helsinky, named Hopeasiipi 50. Plastic and rubber parts. Rubber parts, such as the (standard) mat, knobs, shield edge, pedal cover are in grey colour. Control cable and odometer sleeves are also grey. Odometer. Rolle type, marked ‘Como/Agrati’ with two-tone grey dial, full scale 80 km/h, red index. CEV type, with white dial and red index. Approvals: Moped: Agrati IGM 2351OM. Headlight: CEV IGM 0304. Taillight: Type CEV 9232 IGM 1701LP. Rear retroreflector: Type CEV 5893 IGM 0901C2. Sales prices at the time (1964): 86,900 Lit. Engine. Engine: Minarelli P3W, 2-stroke single-cylinder forced air-cooled engine, light alloy head and cylinder. Stroke 42 mm bore 38 mm, displacement 47.6 cc, compression ratio 1:7, power 1.5 HP at 5200 rpm (2.4 HP at 5600 rpm for the foreign version). Distribution: Three crossed lights, flat piston. Ignition: magnet flywheel, timing advance 28°, contact breaker distance 0.4, spark plug type 225°. 6V 18 watts electrical system. On the headlight 6V-15W bulb light and 6v 15W festoon bulb. On the back 3W bulb. Carburettor: Dell’Orto T49S1, diffuser 9mm, jet of the maximum 56, gas valve no. 50, jet needle A3 on the third notch and needle jet type 210, 2.4g float. Clutch: Oil immersed multiple discs lap joint on the main shaft. Lubrication: At the gearbox 300g of SAE 30 oil to be replaced every 4000 km. Power supply: Mix at 4%, tank with 5.6 litre capacity including 0.45 litres for reserve. Barn find. The engine runs loose and has compression. Silencer with non-original tailpipe. Original Dell’Orto carburettor. Cylinder is original. Document: Since this is a vintage moped, it doesn’t need any change of ownership. Private sale. The seller can provide a bill of sale.
