Edzard Willem Koning was born in Winschoten on 3rd May 1869 and died in The Hague on 21st February 1954.
He was educated at the Academie voor Beeldende Kunst in The Hague.
He was a pupil of Frits Jansen and J.P. Koelman.
Worked on the Veluwe. Farmer's genre, genre scenes with animals and cityscapes.
Member of Arti et Amicitiae, Haagse Kunstkring, Pulchri Studio and Sint Lucas.
